New Wendell August Ornament
Our 2016 Wendell August ornament this year is an engraving of a picture of the carousel at Exposition Park (now Conneaut Lake Park) in the early 1900s.
It is $20, plus tax. It is very pretty and the second in a series of ornaments from us. The 2015 ornament was the Barbara J and sold very well. We only have a few of these left.
The ornaments are available online in our gift shop, at the museum and at Timberland Floral and Lakeside Beauty Salon. Or they can be ordered on-line here.
We have had several requests for hoodies, so we have added those to our gift shop.
They have Conneaut Lake inscribed on the front. They are very nice material and look very nice.
Cost is $25.
We also have them available with a zipper front at a cost of $30.
You can special order whatever color you would like! We have a supply of various colors and sizes at the museum but if we don't have your size, let us know!
They can be ordered on-line here.
New Board Member
We have received resignations from two board members, George Rutherford, who was an original board member since 1999, who felt it was time he stepped down; and Dennis Cascio, who moved to Sharon.
Dave Mihalyi has been named to succeed George.
Our bylaws give the president the authority to appoint new members. President Julia Catalano is asking anyone with suggestions or recommendations to contact her at 724-9841.
We thank George and Dennis for their service!
Although George is stepping down from the board, he will continue to serve at the museum each weekend!
Our inaugural kayak race-- Conneaut Lake Paddle Fest -- is set for Sunday, Aug.14, at 9 a.m. at Fireman's Beach. It is open to all those who love to kayak. For those who don't kayak, come and join the festivities or take a ride on the Barbara J and watch the race from the lake. (There is a fee for this.)
We will have refreshments, music and fun.
Please see registration form on this Web site and join us. Spread the word!
