Pig raffle winner
Warren Smith of Linesville was winner of the pig raffle the society held this summer. We appreciate all the support from those who purchased tickets. Livingston Quality Meats provide the pig and donates the services of cutting and wrapping the meat.



Pumpkin Fest is Coming

We will once again have a booth at Pumpkin Fest on Oct. 13, 14 and 15 at Conneaut Lake Park.We will have our new baseball caps, a booklet of pictures of Conneaut Lake Park used for a house tour, our t-shirts, sweat shirts, hoodies, Christmas ornaments, books and more. Stop by and check us out. If you cant make it, check our gift store on this Web site.

We have unique gifts for Christmas gifts or for other events --- or to just treat yourself!

Jane Smith, who was the author of the Arcadia publication "Conneaut Lake" will be at the midway gift stand from 1 p.m.to 4 p.m. to sign books. She will be joined by several other authors as well. Stop by and say hello.


New program Committee Chairman
Diane Domnick has agreed to become chairman of our program committee. She succeeds Bobbie Moyers, who has been chairman for many years and chose to retire. We are now beginning our 18th year and have a wide range of topics for our monthly programs. If you missed one, we probably have it available on a DVD in our gift shop.



Christmas Sale
We will once again have a Shop Local Sale -- the Saturday after Thanksgiving -- from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.at the museum at 150 N.ThirdSt.,Conneaut Lake.

We will have a wide variety of gifts for that special person -- gifts you won't find anywhere else!

Christmas dinner
We will once again have our Christmas dinner for members. It will be Dec.18 at 6 p.m. at the Iroquois Club.You have your choice of stuffed chicken breast or stuffed pork chop. Cost is $20, which includes tax and gratuity. Reservations -- with payment -- must be made by Dec.8 by contacting Jean Shanley at 337-6377 or sending check and not of names and desired meat to her at 4412 Newport House, Meadville, PA.,16335 or to the society at PO Box 425, Conneaut Lake, Pa., 16316.



Barbara J Tour
We have reserved the Barbara J boat for an evening tour on Dec.9 at 7:30 p.m. It will be a 90minute tour to view the many decorated Christmas lights.

The tour is open to historical society members and their guests. If we have tickets left, we then will open it to the public.

Cost is $10 and  reservations maybe made with Jane Smith at 337-6377 or 4412 Newport House, Meadville, 16335.



New Hat
We have a new baseball cap available for purchase. It is embroidered with the Conneaut Lake Area Historical Society logo. It comes in white or tan. Cost is $15.  It can be ordered online in our Gift Shop


New Hoodies
We have had several requests for hoodies, so we have added those to our gift shop.

They have Conneaut Lake inscribed on the front. They are very nice material and look very nice.

Cost is $25.

We also have them available with a zipper front at a cost of $30.

You can special order whatever color you would like! We have a supply of various colors and sizes at the museum
but if we don't have your size,let us know!

New Tour Contact
After many many years of being the contact person to arrange special tours, George Rutherford has given up that task. He will lead tours, just has too many things on his mind and often forgot to go down so asked the board to name somebody new!

Pictures now Available
The board has voted to allow reprints of any picture in our museum. Cost is $1 for 4 by 6; $3 for 5 by 7; and $5 for 8 by 10. Stop at the museum and check out our vast array of pictures. Larger sizes may be ordered as well.
 
Our 2015 and 2016 calendars have 13 8 by 10 colored pictures – all suitable for framing once the month is over. They are a mixture of pictures – some old and some new.Each has scenes as well as photographs at Conneaut Lake Park and local businesses.
