CONNEAUT LAKE - Gerald Egli and Lee Forrest were winners of the third annual horseshoe tournament hosted Saturday by Lake House Restaurant as a benefit for the Conneaut Lake Area Historical Society.

Second-place team winners were father and son John Stitt and Tyler Stitt.

Historical society members expressed appreciation to Don Taylor and the Back Yard Boys Horseshoe Club for organizing the event and to the restaurant for hosting it.

The event was designed to give the community a different form of entertainment as well as a benefit function.

Winners hold plaques they earned in Saturday's third annual horseshoe tournament held to benefit the Conneaut Lake Area Historical Society. From left were the top team members, Gerald Egli and Lee Forrest. Second-place honors went to John Stitt and Tyler Stitt, third from left and far right.
