PaddleFest

What a beautiful morning it was on Conneaut Lake for our 6th Annual Paddlefest!  The weather was perfect, we had a record number of kayakers for our Dice Run and Race, and we enjoyed such tremendous community support.  All of this was made possible by our enthusiastic participants, generous sponsors, tireless volunteers, and all of the Conneaut Lake community members who helped our effort. Paddlefest is one of the Conneaut Lake Historical Society’s fundraisers that help us to fulfill our mission of preserving and sharing our rich area history for generations to come.

A big thank you to our Event Sponsor, Silver Shores!  We were proud to be connected with such a prominent, well-respected business right on the shore of Conneaut Lake. And many thanks to each of our sponsors who so generously supported Paddlefest:  Carter Lumber, Lakeview Ford, The Triangle Bunch, Waid Coleman Funeral Home, Bob and Kathy Moss, Ice House Pizzeria, Nyes’s Marina, Howard Hanna Real Estate, Lakeside Physical Therapy, Perfett Tax Services, Tursky’s Tavern, Lang Motors, Lake Road Marine, The Hilton Family, Watts & Pepicilli, Meadville Medical Center, Marie and Clark Pettibon, Conneaut Lake Navigation Co, Bill’s Midway Marina, Marquette Savings Bank, Ernst Seeds, Erie Bank, Lakeside Beer, Dan Higham, Shafer Financial Financial Services, Pizza Joe’s, Miller’s Food Factory and Wagner-Giblin Insurance.  In addition, much appreciation goes to those who welcomed us using their docks for the Dice Run:  South Lake Preserve, Lighthouse Cove Condos, Stefanucci Family, Stanton Family and Trombola Family.  We also thank the Barbara J for their Paddlefest cruise, so that spectators could watch the event from the lake, the CL Volunteer Fire Department for joining the event with the Fire Boat, the Ambulance Service for keeping us safe, South Shore Rentals for offering a special rental package for Paddlefest, and for Conneaut Lake Borough and the town businesses who welcomed our event and supported us along the way. And our volunteers … you were the face of Paddlefest, you are the ones who made it fun and helped it to run so smoothly … thank you!
